Patient: P40001

A female, 54 years of age when diagnosed with Stage 1A adenocarcinoma following CT scan, bronchoscopy and PET. Not screened. Only symptoms were weight loss, swollen joints and finger-clubbing. Had VATS surgery within two months of diagnosis and no other therapies and has had no recurrence in the two years since surgery. A current smoker at diagnosis with a 57 pack year history (1.5 packs a day for 38 years), exposure to second had smoke as a child and an extensive family history of lung cancer (mother at age 48 and brother at age 52) and of breast cancer (two sisters and both grandmothers between the ages of 47 and 51) and prostate cancer (father at 72).
